Arm & Shoulder Pain

The shoulder joint relies heavily on the muscles of the shoulder girdle for protection and stability. Proper muscle coordination and function is crucial, otherwise the movement of the joint is affected and pain, stiffness, numbness or tingling can result. The Chiropractic approach to your arm and shoulder pain is different from other health care providers.  Rather than simply trying to cover up the painful symptoms with potentially dangerous drugs, a Doctor of Chiropractic will concentrate on finding the underlying fundamental cause of your problem and correct it. In many cases arm and shoulder pain is caused by a “pinched nerve” within the spinal column. Our doctors will analyze your spine for vertebral subluxations (misalignments). Such misalignments can cause nerve compressions which leads to decreased nerve function.  Over time, muscle coordination, strength, and normal joint function are weakened by improper nerve function.  A Chiropractor will realign your spine through a series of gentle adjustments and muscle relaxing techniques. By doing do so, proper nerve supply will be restored to the shoulder muscles and alleviate the symptoms. Remember, a Doctor of Chiropractic is the only health care physician that is trained in the detection and correction of vertebral subluxations.
